2. Copyright Transfer

Upon acceptance of the above-mentioned manuscript for publication in the Journal of Modern Medical Science (JMMS), the undersigned author(s) hereby transfer and assign to the Kuwait Scientific Society (Publisher) all rights, title, and interest in the copyright of the work, including but not limited to:

• The right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and transmit the work in print and electronic formats
• The right to translate the work into other languages
• The right to include the work in indexing, archiving, and abstracting databases
• The right to create derivative works, compilations, and adaptations
• The right to license third parties for distribution

This transfer applies worldwide and for the full term of copyright.

3. Author Warranties

The author(s) hereby certify and warrant that:

1. The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.
2. The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
3. All authors have significantly contributed to the work and approve its submission.
4. The work does not infringe upon any existing copyright, intellectual property, or legal rights.
5. Necessary permissions have been obtained for any third-party materials.
6. All ethical approvals and patient consents (if applicable) have been secured.
7. All funding sources and competing interests have been fully disclosed.

The author(s) agree to indemnify the Publisher against any claims arising from breach of these warranties.

4. Author Retained Rights

Notwithstanding the transfer of copyright, authors retain the right to:

• Use the article for teaching and research purposes
• Include the article in a thesis or dissertation
• Reproduce parts of the article in future works with proper citation
• Share the accepted manuscript (not the final published PDF) in institutional repositories, subject to journal policy

Proper acknowledgment of publication in JMMS must be included in all cases.

5. Moral Rights

Authors retain moral rights, including:

• The right to be identified as the author(s)
• The right to object to derogatory treatment of the work

6. Corrections and Retractions

The Publisher reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with COPE guidelines if ethical or scientific issues arise post-publication.

7. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed in accordance with applicable laws of Kuwait, unless otherwise required by international copyright conventions.
